Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. -1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

Today is the National Day of Prayer. As you pray today, remember to pray for our nation, our churches, our fellow Christians. Pray that we fear the Lord and follow His will. Pray that we turn toward God and that He blesses us for it. Pray that we give up things that hold us back from serving God with all our hearts, soul, and mind. And pray that we all see the blessings God has given us and help us know that He is always with us, He loves us, and He wants the best for us. And pray that as we go through our day, that we find ways to be the hands and feet of Jesus, and that through our actions, we are able to plant seeds so that others will know the saving grace of our Savior, Jesus.

We always thank God for all of you and continually mention you in our prayers. We remember before our God and Father your work produced by faith, your labor prompted by love, and your endurance inspired by hope in our Lord Jesus Christ. –1 Thessalonians 1:2-3
